Private Label Art Supplies: Your Brand, Built on Our Line
We manufacture colored pencils, markers, acrylic and watercolor paints, sketch pencils and drawing sets under our customers' own brands. The brand and artwork are yours; the specification, tooling, assembly and packing are ours — all in one factory, so nothing is passed between suppliers.

What private label covers
| Level | What is customized | When it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Branding | Logo and artwork printed on products, labels and packaging | You want to test a market quickly on a proven product |
| Packaging | Color boxes, blisters, inserts, instruction sheets and cartons | You need retail-ready presentation |
| Specification | Color count, barrel colorways, hardness or formulation, set composition | You need a range that differs from competing lines |
| OEM / ODM development | A new product developed from a brief, drawing or physical sample, including tooling | You need an exclusive design |
Four levels of customization
Most buyers start at branding or packaging and move deeper over repeat orders. Each level carries its own minimum and tooling position, which is why we quote them separately rather than as one price band.
| Level | Minimum | Tooling | Typical route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Branding | 300 sets per SKU | None | Standard line with your artwork |
| Packaging | 300 sets per SKU, print run dependent | Print plates if a new carton structure is needed | Standard line with custom packaging |
| Specification | Quoted per project | Depends on color count and component changes | Modified line |
| OEM / ODM | Quoted per project | Included where a new mould is required | New product, sampled before production |
How a private label project runs
- Requirement — product, target market, channel, target landed cost and quantity.
- Proposal and quotation — configuration and specification options with the trade-offs stated, so the choice is made on cost rather than on assumption.
- Sample — a physical pre-production sample carrying your actual branding, artwork and packaging.
- Approval and production — nothing is manufactured until the signed sample and the order confirmation are in place.
- Inspection and shipment — pre-shipment inspection, then packing to the agreed configuration and dispatch.
What we need from you to start
- Logo or artwork in vector format, or a label design file
- Target market and channel — labeling and compliance requirements follow from these
- Target retail or landed price — this drives the specification trade-offs
- Quantity and SKU mix
- Packaging format, or a reference product to work from
Minimums, tooling and lead time
Standard lines start at 300 sets per SKU. Private label, OEM and ODM projects are quoted individually, because tooling, custom packaging and custom color formulation each carry their own minimum. Lead time is 15-45 days, depending on specification and packaging customization; the wider end applies where tooling, high color counts or complex packaging are involved. Time runs from sample approval and receipt of the deposit, not from the date of enquiry.
Quality and compliance for your market
| Market | Documents commonly required |
|---|---|
| United States | ASTM D-4236, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) |
| European Union / UK | EN 71 series, CE with Declaration of Conformity |
| Marketplace sellers | Platform-specific documents on top of the product standards |
| Retail and brand owners | Product standards plus factory audit; BSCI social compliance is available |
Documents are product-specific, not company-wide. A report issued for one formulation does not transfer to another, so coverage is confirmed against the exact SKU you select — before the order is placed, not at the shipping stage.
Why buyers keep the specification with one factory
A private label range only stays consistent if the specification is held across repeat runs. Because core material, pigment blending, barrel forming, set assembly and packing all happen in-house, there is no intermediate supplier to re-confirm the specification with — and no gap between the approved sample and the production run. That is also why the approved sample and the agreed color standard become the production reference.
How to start
Send the product, target market, target price and quantity, and we will come back with a configuration, a minimum and a lead time for that specific SKU. If you are still choosing between options, the pages below answer the questions buyers ask most often.
