What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
The standard minimum for our regular product lines is 300 sets per SKU. Private label, OEM and ODM projects are quoted individually, because tooling, custom packaging and custom color formulation each carry their own minimum.
Minimum by order type
| Order type | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Standard product lines | 300 sets per SKU | Established platform, specification already fixed |
| Private label / OEM | Quoted per project | Depends on packaging complexity, color formulation and tooling |
| ODM development | Quoted per project | Includes sampling and tooling, confirmed with the proposal |
| Samples and trial orders | Arranged separately | For verifying specification, feel and consistency |
Why the standard minimum sits at 300 sets
Three production constraints set it: printed cartons and packaging carry a minimum print run; color is matched in batches, particularly for pencil cores and watercolour, and a very small batch produces visible shade variation as well as wasted material; and sets are assembled as one run, so a very low count does not absorb the changeover time.
What raises the minimum
- Tooling for a new barrel, box format or component
- Custom color formulation or an increased color count
- Multi-layer or shaped packaging structures
- Component changes that alter the core specification
Confirming the minimum for your SKU
- Product, specification and packaging format
- Whether branding, custom packaging or tooling is involved
- Target market and target landed cost
With those three we will confirm the applicable minimum for that SKU alongside the quotation. If the purpose is to validate quality rather than to buy stock, sampling is a more economical route than a below-minimum order.
